What Amazon has confirmed for Q4 2026
Amazon published its 2026 holiday seller timeline on July 7, 2026. Trade coverage of that notice lists the deal submission windows, inventory cutoffs and fees below. Amazon had not published the start and end dates of its Black Friday Week event by October 25, so treat any event window you see online as a forecast until it appears in Seller Central. Our Amazon Black Friday 2026 news page tracks updates.
- October 14: AWD inbound cutoff for Black Friday Week and Cyber Monday
- October 15: holiday peak fulfillment fees begin
- October 20: Black Friday Week and Cyber Monday deal submissions closed
- October 21: FBA cutoff for shipments with minimal splits
- October 28: FBA cutoff for shipments with Amazon optimized splits
- November 27 and 30: Black Friday and Cyber Monday
Inventory: the cutoff you cannot miss
October 28 is the last FBA cutoff for shipments using Amazon optimized splits, which is the default for most sellers. Stock that arrives later may not be available when traffic peaks. Prioritise your best sellers and deal ASINs, send what you can now, and keep a backup plan for anything that misses the cutoff, such as merchant fulfilled offers through Seller Fulfilled Prime or standard FBM.
Watch capacity at the same time. Storage costs more from October to December, and slow stock sent in for Q4 becomes aged inventory in Q1. Our FBA inventory management service plans this per ASIN.
Sponsored Products, Brands and Display managed daily to profit-capped targets. Flat monthly plans, no percentage of spend, every bid change explained.
Peak fees: reprice on the real margin
Holiday peak fulfillment fees apply to units shipped from October 15, 2026 to January 14, 2027, covering FBA, Remote Fulfillment with FBA, Multi-Channel Fulfillment and Buy with Prime. Trade coverage of Amazon's notice puts the average increase at about $0.32 per unit over non-peak rates, with the 3.5% fuel and logistics surcharge on top. Large items pay more than the average.
Rebuild your margin per ASIN with the peak rates from the Revenue Calculator or fee preview, then recalculate break even ACoS. A deal that was profitable at September fees can lose money in November. Our Amazon fee changes 2026 guide lists every fee change this year.
Deals and promotions after the deadline
Best Deals and Lightning Deals for the holiday events carry a $100 upfront fee per promotion plus 1.5% of promotional sales, capped at $5,000. Submissions for Black Friday Week closed on October 20, so check deal health daily for any you submitted: deals can be suppressed after approval if the listing, price or account health changes.
If you missed the window, coupons and Prime Exclusive Discounts may still be available in Seller Central, and Brand Tailored Promotions let registered brands target shoppers who carted but did not buy. Before stacking any of them, check the combined discount against peak fee margin. Our guide to Amazon promotions compares the options.

Pricing rules that matter more in Q4
Since April 23, 2026, a list price only shows as a strikethrough if the product actually sold at that price as the Featured Offer or another retailer recently offered it at that price. Do not raise list prices before events to make discounts look bigger; Amazon may hide the reference price and the Fair Pricing Policy can remove the buy box for prices that harm customer trust. Amazon also said Prime Big Deal Days prices are excluded from the 30 and 60 day lookback windows for holiday deal pricing.
Advertising: pace budgets across the season
Holiday demand builds from early November, peaks across Black Friday Week and Cyber Monday, then continues into gift buying in December. Plan ad budgets by week, not by month, so campaigns do not run out by lunchtime on the biggest days. Use search term data from Prime Big Deal Days to decide which keywords earn extra budget.
- Lead in: build audiences and test new keywords early November
- Event week: raise budgets and bids on proven converting terms
- Retarget: shoppers who viewed deal ASINs but did not buy
- Lead out: hold spend on gift terms into mid December
- Pause ads automatically on ASINs close to stocking out
Returns: plan Q1 cash flow now
On October 16, Amazon told sellers that items bought on Amazon.com from November 1 to December 31, 2026 can be returned until January 31, 2027, with January 15 for Apple brand products, and that the extension will apply every year. It covers FBA and seller fulfilled orders, and no action is required. Expect a wave of returns in January and hold back part of Q4 profit until it passes. See our Amazon return policy guide.
