What is Amazon Haul?

Haul is a separate shopping experience inside Amazon built to compete with low-price apps. Amazon says all items are priced at $20 or less, the majority at $10 and under, and some as low as $1. Shoppers reach it by searching Haul in the Amazon Shopping app or visiting the Haul page on a mobile browser.

The trade-off is speed. Typical delivery takes one to two weeks rather than the one or two days Prime shoppers expect, because much of the selection ships from overseas.

Amazon Haul delivery, discounts and returns

Amazon set different rules for Haul than for the main store when it launched in the US:

  • Free delivery on orders of $25 or more; a $3.99 fee below that
  • 5% off orders of $50 or more and 10% off orders of $75 or more
  • Free returns within 15 days of delivery on items over $3
  • Items priced at $3 or less are generally not returnable
  • Returns can be dropped off at thousands of US locations

Where Amazon Haul is available

Haul started as a US-only experience. Amazon later said it serves customers in 25 countries, including the UK, Germany, France, Italy, Spain, Japan and Australia, and runs under the Amazon Bazaar name in Mexico, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates. Amazon also launched a standalone Bazaar app in 14 more locations and removed the beta label from Haul worldwide.

In the UK, for example, Amazon describes items at GBP 20 or less with free delivery on orders over GBP 15, so thresholds differ by country.

Can you sell on Amazon Haul?

Haul is not an open program like the main store. Seller guides from late 2025 describe it as invitation-based, with sellers able to register interest. Reported rules include new condition only, a generic brand name, separate ASINs from your normal catalogue, strict weight limits and FBA only, with Haul inventory shipped separately from regular stock. Amazon has not published a public rulebook, so confirm eligibility inside Seller Central before you plan around it.

Reported categories that are not allowed include food, hazmat, refrigerated goods, baby products and items with medical or organic claims, which mirrors the restricted categories that already need approval on the main store.

Is Amazon Haul worth it for brands?

For most branded sellers, the answer is no. Haul favours unbranded, very low-cost goods, and its price ceilings leave little room for brand building, advertising or reviews that carry over to your main listings. It also trains shoppers to expect very low prices in your category.

Haul can make sense for factories and wholesalers with very low unit costs, light products and no need for brand identity. If that is you, model the full cost per unit, including fulfilment fees and returns, before you commit stock.

How Haul affects sellers on the main Amazon store

Even if you never sell on Haul, it can change your market. Shoppers who browse Haul compare your price to near-identical generic items, and Amazon's fair pricing policy still applies to your offers in the main store.

  • Expect more pressure on low-price, commodity listings
  • Differentiate on quality, bundles, brand story and fast delivery
  • Use Prime speed and reviews as your advantage over two-week shipping
  • Watch for copycat generic versions of your products

How to compete with Haul as a brand

You do not win against Haul on price. You win on value the shopper can see before they buy.

  • Show quality in images: materials, sizes, close-ups and comparison charts
  • Bundle accessories to raise basket value and reduce direct comparison
  • Protect your brand with Brand Registry and Transparency where it fits
  • Bid on your branded terms so generic items do not take your traffic
  • Track conversion rate by ASIN to spot price pressure early

Brand defence against Haul

  • Quality shown in images
  • Bundles that raise value
  • Brand Registry in place
  • Branded keywords defended
  • Conversion tracked by ASIN

Amazon Haul vs the main Amazon store

Haul and the main store serve different buyers. The main store wins on speed, brand trust and choice; Haul wins on price for impulse buys. A brand that tries to sit in both usually confuses its pricing. Decide which customer you serve, then build listings and ads for that customer.
