Break-even ACoS calculator
Your break-even ACoS is your profit margin before advertising. Enter your numbers per unit to find it, then set a target that keeps profit.
How it is calculated
Profit before ads = price - product cost - referral fee - FBA fee - other costsBreak-even ACoS = profit before ads / price x 100Target ACoS = break-even ACoS - profit you want to keepMax CPC = price x conversion rate x target ACoS
Every ad sale above your break-even ACoS loses money. Most accounts are managed to one flat ACoS goal; setting a target per product from its real margin is how you scale spend without buying losses.
Use your exact referral fee and FBA fee from Seller Central or Amazon's revenue calculator: both change by category, size tier and price, and FBA fees changed again in 2026.
Questions about the break-even acos calculator
What is break-even ACoS?
Break-even ACoS is the ACoS at which an ad-attributed sale makes zero profit. It equals your profit margin before advertising: price minus product cost and all Amazon fees, divided by price.
Should my target ACoS equal my break-even ACoS?
Not for profit-focused campaigns. Subtract the profit you want to keep. Ranking or launch campaigns can run near or above break-even for a planned period if you track the organic rank they build.
Where do I find my exact FBA and referral fees?
In Seller Central, on each product's fee preview, or with Amazon's revenue calculator. Fees vary by category, size tier and price band.
