What is a brand story on Amazon?
Brand Story is part of A+ Content, available to sellers enrolled in Amazon Brand Registry. It shows as a carousel of cards that shoppers swipe on mobile or scroll on desktop. Because one Brand Story can be applied to every ASIN under your brand, it is the cheapest way to put the same brand message on hundreds of product pages.
Brand Story is separate from the product specific A+ modules below it. A+ explains one product. Brand Story explains the brand and points shoppers to the rest of your catalog and your Amazon storefront.
Brand Story modules, image sizes and text limits
Amazon's Selling Partner API documentation lists five Brand Story modules with minimum image sizes and character limits. A+ Content Manager shows the same limits when you build in Seller Central. Design images at or above these minimums so they stay sharp.
- Background image with logo: 1,464 x 625 px desktop and 463 x 625 px mobile, title up to 30 characters, description up to 135 characters
- Four ASIN showcase: four product tiles of 166 x 182 px with a 30 character title, plus an optional Store link
- Brand focus image: 362 x 453 px image, 30 character title, up to 135 characters of text
- About the brand: 315 x 145 px logo, 30 character title, up to 450 characters of text
- Questions and answers: exactly three pairs, questions up to 70 characters, answers up to 200 characters
Standard and Premium A+ modules, comparison charts and Brand Story designed from your listing data, delivered ready to publish and sized for mobile first.

What should a strong brand story say?
Shoppers do not need your company history. They need a reason to trust you over the next result. Lead with what makes the brand different in one line: how the product is made, who designed it, or what problem you exist to solve. Then move quickly to proof and to products.
Use the about module for a short founder or mission statement, the focus image for a lifestyle shot that shows your customer, and the question module for the three questions that keep appearing in reviews, such as warranty, materials or sizing.
- Card 1: brand promise in under 30 characters
- Card 2: the customer using the product
- Card 3: best sellers and Store link
- Card 4: who you are and why you started
- Card 5: three real buyer questions answered
Brand Story and Premium A+ content
For years, Seller Central brands needed a Brand Story on every ASIN before they could use Premium A+. In May 2026, notices in A+ Content Manager said Premium A+ is now available to all Seller Central brand owners, which removed that requirement. Read the details in our guide to premium A+ content.
Brand Story still matters. It is the only A+ element that cross sells your catalog on every product page, and it gives shoppers a direct path to your Store.
Design tips for mobile
On a phone, shoppers see one card at a time and swipe. Each card must make sense on its own, with short text set large enough to read. Keep important content away from the edges of the background image, because the mobile crop is much narrower than the desktop version, and test both before submitting.
Match colors, fonts and photography to your main images and A+ modules. Our guide to Amazon image requirements covers resolution and file basics that apply here too.
Common reasons Brand Story is rejected
Amazon reviews Brand Story like other A+ Content. Most rejections come from claims or details Amazon does not allow in A+.
- Pricing, discounts or shipping promises
- Guarantee or warranty claims that are not supported
- Comparisons naming other brands
- Customer review quotes or ratings
- Contact details or links to outside websites
- Low resolution images or unreadable text
Measuring the impact of your Brand Story
Amazon does not report Brand Story clicks on their own, so judge it by the behavior it is meant to change: Store visits, sessions on linked ASINs and repeat purchases. Check Store Insights for traffic from product pages after launch, and compare conversion on key ASINs four weeks before and after.
PPC Spider's Amazon A+ content team builds Brand Story, A+ and Store as one system and reviews performance monthly. See plans on our Amazon agency pricing page, from $1,950 a month for full service.
