What is Amazon Vine?
Amazon invites its most helpful reviewers into Vine based on the quality of their reviews. These Vine Voices request products from an enrolled list, receive them free and post a review. Amazon is clear that reviews must be honest: Vine Voices can and do leave critical reviews, and sellers have no influence over ratings.
Products ship through FBA so the reviewers stay anonymous. Vine Voices are responsible for any income tax on the products they receive, which is one reason the program is treated as legitimate rather than incentivized reviewing.
Amazon Vine eligibility in 2026
Amazon's Vine page lists these requirements. Check them per product, because a single missing item blocks enrollment.
- Professional selling account, $39.99 per month plus selling fees
- Brand Representative or Reseller role for a brand in Amazon Brand Registry, or generic products in your catalog
- An eligible FBA offer with inventory at Amazon fulfillment centers
- A product image and description on the detail page
- Fewer than 30 reviews on the product detail page
- Not adult, digital or bundled products
Listing, reviews, launch ads, deals and ranking targets sequenced week by week, so the first 90 days build rank instead of burning budget.
How much does Amazon Vine cost?
Fees are charged per parent product, with no extra cost for child variations. Amazon lists these US tiers, and you can enroll up to two products for free at the lowest tier.
- Up to 2 units: $0
- 3 to 10 units: $75
- 11 to 30 units: $200
- Maximum: 30 units per product
When are you billed?
Amazon says you are not charged until 30 days after enrollment and after your first Vine review is published. If you receive no Vine review within 90 days of enrollment, you are not charged at all. Remember that the enrollment fee is not the full cost: you also give away the units and pay FBA fees to ship them, so calculate landed cost before choosing 30 units.
How to enroll in Amazon Vine, step by step
Enrollment happens in Seller Central on the Vine dashboard.
- Confirm the product meets every eligibility rule
- Send enough FBA inventory to cover Vine units plus early sales
- Open the Vine dashboard in Seller Central
- Enter the parent ASIN and choose how many units to offer
- Submit and track claimed units and reviews on the dashboard
When to use Vine in a product launch
Amazon recommends enrolling and having inventory in its network at least three weeks before launch. That timing means reviews start arriving as your launch ads go live, rather than after your launch budget is spent. Products with zero reviews convert poorly, so a handful of honest reviews often makes the biggest difference to early ad efficiency. Our Amazon product launch service plans Vine timing alongside ads and pricing.
- New products: enroll once you have a customer-ready FBA listing
- Existing products: enroll if they have fewer than 30 reviews
- Use variations wisely: reviews are shared across the parent
- Fix the listing before enrolling, because reviewers judge what they receive

Can you cancel Vine enrollment?
If no Vine Voices have claimed units yet, you can cancel and re-enroll later. Once units are claimed, you can only stop further claims. Reviews from units already shipped can still publish, and Amazon says you cannot re-enroll that product after stopping. Decide on unit count carefully up front.
Getting the most from Vine reviews
Vine reviews tend to be detailed, which makes them useful product research as well as social proof. Read every one for recurring themes and act on them before scaling ad spend.
A critical Vine review that honestly describes the product will stay up, even if it hurts. Our guide on how to remove reviews from Amazon explains which reviews can be reported and why paying or pressuring reviewers is never an option.
- Make sure packaging and inserts are ready for close inspection
- Include clear instructions so reviewers use the product correctly
- Fix issues raised in early reviews before your main push
- Do not try to contact or influence Vine Voices
- Pair Vine with the Request a Review button for ongoing review growth
New seller credit for Vine
Amazon's Brand Registry page lists a credit toward Amazon Vine as part of its new seller incentives for brands that enroll. Terms apply, so check your eligibility in Seller Central before you budget for Vine.
How PPC Spider helps
PPC Spider builds Vine into launch plans: inventory timing, unit count, listing readiness and the Amazon PPC management that follows as reviews arrive. SpiderOS tracks reviews and conversion per ASIN so launch bids rise as social proof builds. To see whether your catalog has products that would benefit, start with a free Amazon audit.
