What is the Amazon Service Provider Network?
SPN is a program run by Amazon that connects sellers with outside companies offering services such as imaging, cataloging, advertising optimization, accounting, taxes, compliance and shipping. Sellers browse providers through the SPN storefront in Seller Central, compare their listings and send a request for a quote.
Providers on SPN go through an Amazon qualification process before they are listed. That makes SPN a useful starting point, but it is not an endorsement of results or pricing. You still need to vet any provider the same way you would vet one found elsewhere.
Which services are on SPN?
Amazon's SPN overview lists 19 service categories. Some are only available in certain countries or by invitation.
- Imaging, cataloging and Enhanced Brand Content
- Account management and advertising optimization
- Accounting, taxes and compliance
- Training
- FBA preparation, storage and international shipping
- International returns and excess inventory
- IP Accelerator for trademark filing
- Sustainability
- Seller lending (US, Brazil and Mexico only)
- Manufacturing (invite only) and domestic shipping (invite only for India)
SPN at a glance
Advertising, listings, operations and finance handled together, with profit-capped targets and a dashboard you can log into. Plans published, no percentage of spend.
How sellers find a provider on SPN
From Seller Central, open the Service Provider Network, choose a service category and marketplace, and filter the provider list. Each listing shows the services offered and the marketplaces covered. Send requests to two or three providers so you can compare scope and price.
When a provider needs access to your account, use Seller Central user permissions or app authorization rather than sharing your login. Our guide to Seller Central user permissions explains how to grant only the access a partner needs.
How to vet an SPN provider before you sign
An SPN badge confirms the provider passed Amazon's identity, policy and capability checks. It does not tell you whether they are a good fit for your category, size or goals. Ask for specifics and get them in writing.
- Who will do the work day to day, and how many accounts they manage
- What is in scope each month and what costs extra
- How results are reported and how often
- Contract length, notice period and data ownership
- Which account permissions they need and why
- References from brands of a similar size and category
SPN account management vs Strategic Account Services
SPN providers are independent companies paid by the seller. Amazon Strategic Account Services is Amazon's own paid program that assigns a dedicated customer success manager. Amazon's SAS page currently says the program is at full capacity and not accepting new enrollments, which is one reason many brands look to SPN or independent agencies instead.
The difference matters in practice: an Amazon manager advises, while an agency usually executes the work, from ads and listings to inventory and reimbursements.
How to join SPN as a provider
Amazon's joining guide asks providers to confirm they have a website that clearly shows their seller services, a registered legal business and at least one of the 19 categories. Applications go through the Solution Provider Portal, followed by an onboarding process covering business registration, role approvals and connecting with sellers. Amazon says a Professional seller account helps but is not required, and individual freelancers can apply if they offer a listed service.
- Business registration documents
- Government ID for the owner or authorized representative
- Website URL that shows the services applied for
- Agreement to the Solution Provider Agreement, Acceptable Use Policy and Data Protection Policy
How long SPN approval takes and why applications fail
Amazon's estimates are one to two business days for identity verification after a complete submission, two to four business days for data access qualification and five to seven business days for listing. Timing varies with how complex the application is and how fast the provider responds.
Common reasons for rejection or delay include incomplete information, a website that does not reflect the services applied for, missing or invalid business details, not answering information requests within five days, and breaching the Acceptable Use or Data Protection policies.

Is SPN the only place to find good help?
No. Many capable agencies, consultants and virtual assistants work outside SPN, and some SPN listings are small operations. Use SPN as one source alongside referrals and published reviews.
