What are Amazon Strategic Account Services?
SAS pairs an enrolled seller with an Amazon customer success manager. Amazon describes three kinds of help: operational guidance on topics such as listing optimization, brand registration and major shopping events; strategic planning, including a business plan and advice on which Amazon tools and programs to use; and access to subject matter experts in areas like supply chain, brand protection and discovery.
The manager is an Amazon employee working inside Amazon's systems. That is the main appeal: a direct line to someone who knows how Amazon's programs fit together and can point you to the right team.
- Operational guidance on listings, Brand Registry and events
- A business plan with tailored program advice
- Access to specialists in supply chain, brand protection and discovery
Who is eligible for SAS?
Amazon's US program page lists the requirements. Sellers with more than one account must submit a separate interest form for each account, using that account's email address and merchant token.
- Active Professional selling account in good standing in the US store
- At least one active buyable product
- A minimum sales threshold of $500,000
- At least three consecutive months with a sale

- US Professional account in good standing
- One active buyable product

- Separate form per seller account
Advertising, listings, operations and finance handled together, with profit-capped targets and a dashboard you can log into. Plans published, no percentage of spend.
How much does Strategic Account Services cost?
Amazon does not publish a fixed SAS price. Its page says costs are customized to each seller's needs and asks sellers to submit a contact form for a quote. Older third party articles quote a base fee plus a share of sales, but we could not confirm current figures from Amazon, so treat any number you read elsewhere as unverified until Amazon quotes you.
When you get a quote, compare it to what you would pay for execution help, because SAS fees buy advice, not hands on work.
Is SAS accepting new sellers in 2026?
Not right now. Amazon's page states that SAS is at full capacity and unable to accept new enrollments. Eligible sellers can join an interest list to be told when places open, but Amazon does not promise availability or timing.
That means most brands that want hands on support in 2026 need another route, whether that is an independent agency, a consultant or an in house hire.
What SAS does and does not do
An SAS manager advises. They do not normally build your campaigns, write your listings, file your reimbursement claims or manage your inventory day to day. Your team, or an agency, still does that work.
SAS also does not override Amazon policy. A manager can help you understand a problem and route it to the right team, but account health decisions follow the same rules for everyone.
SAS vs an Amazon agency
The two are often compared, but they solve different problems. SAS gives you an Amazon insider's view of programs and priorities. An agency gives you people and tools that execute ads, listings, inventory and reporting every week. Many large brands that had SAS also kept an agency for execution.
Our guides to outsourcing Amazon brand management and the Amazon Service Provider Network explain how to find and vet execution partners.
How to enroll and cancel
While SAS is closed, enrollment means joining the interest list from Amazon's program page. Once enrolled, the minimum term is three months. After that, Amazon says you can cancel in Seller Central under Growth, then Premium Services, then Manage, then Cancel Program. Enrollment ends on the last day of that month, with no further charges.

Free Amazon help to use while SAS is full
Several Amazon tools now cover part of what sellers used to rely on an account manager for. Seller Assistant, Amazon's free AI assistant in Seller Central, was upgraded at Accelerate 2026 with persistent memory and always on workflows that can recommend or act within limits you set. Brand Registry support, Seller Support cases and the account health team are also available to every eligible seller.
These tools answer questions and flag issues. They do not replace a strategy or the weekly work of running ads and listings.
