How to contact Amazon Seller Support, step by step
Every route starts inside Seller Central, signed in to the account with the problem. Menu labels shift over time, but the flow has stayed the same for years.
- Sign in to Seller Central and select Help at the top right
- Check the suggested help articles for your issue
- Scroll to Need more help and select Get support
- Choose the area, usually Selling on Amazon
- Describe the issue and choose email or phone
- Track replies in the case log on the Help page
Phone callbacks
Amazon does not publish an inbound phone number for Seller Support. Instead, you open a case, choose the phone option, enter your number and request a call. Sellers report the call usually comes within minutes, often from a Seattle number with a 206 area code. Have your login email and account details ready, because the agent will verify you before discussing the account.
Phone is best for urgent, simple problems, such as a listing that disappeared or a setting you cannot find. If the agent cannot fix it on the call, ask them to open a case so there is a written record.
Suppressed listings, stranded inventory, policy notifications, cases that never close. One ticket, one owner, resolved to the end, or a retainer that stops the next one early.
Email cases and the case log
There is no direct support email address. When you choose email, Amazon opens a case and replies arrive in the case log, with a copy to your login email. Reply inside the case rather than opening a new one, because duplicate cases restart the queue and split the history.
Some accounts also see a chat option in Seller Central. Availability varies by account and marketplace, so use what your Help page offers.
- One case per issue, not one case for everything
- Reply inside the same case to keep history
- Note the case ID for any escalation
- Save screenshots of every answer you receive
Account Health Support for suspensions and policy issues
Policy warnings, listing deactivations and account suspensions are handled by account health teams, not general Seller Support. Go to Performance, then Account Health, where each violation has its own action and appeal option. Sellers who qualify for Account Health Assurance get proactive outreach from an account health specialist when an issue could lead to deactivation.
Our guides to Amazon account health and the suspension appeal process explain what to do before you contact anyone, because a complete appeal is worth more than a phone call.
Which team handles which problem
Sending a case to the wrong team is the most common reason it stalls. Match the issue to the right door first.
- Listings, fees, payments, settings: Seller Support case
- FBA lost or damaged inventory: Seller Support case with report lines
- Policy warnings and suspensions: Performance, Account Health
- Trademark and brand issues: Brand Registry support
- Ads and campaigns: Amazon Ads support in the advertising console
- General questions: Seller Forums, where Amazon staff sometimes answer
Where to take each problem
| Where to go | Tip | |
|---|---|---|
| Listing or fee issue | Seller Support case | Lead with ASIN |
| Lost FBA inventory | Seller Support case | Attach report rows |
| Suspension or warning | Account Health page | Submit full appeal |
| Brand or trademark | Brand Registry support | Include registration number |
| Ads problem | Amazon Ads support | Include campaign ID |
How to write a case that gets solved
Agents work fast and often from templates. Make the problem impossible to misread.
Put the ASIN, SKU, order ID or shipment ID in the first line. State what you expected, what happened and what you want Amazon to do. Attach screenshots and the exact report rows. For FBA reimbursement cases, our guide to filing an Amazon reimbursement claim shows the evidence agents look for.
- Lead with the ID: ASIN, order, shipment or case
- One problem per case
- State the outcome you want
- Attach screenshots and report extracts
- Keep it under 200 words
How to escalate when Seller Support cannot help
If a case is closed with a copy-and-paste answer, reopen it by replying with the specific point that was missed. On a phone call, it is reasonable to ask for a supervisor or a more specialized team. For account health issues, escalate through the Account Health page with your merchant token and previous case IDs.
Avoid old email addresses that circulate on forums. Seller Labs notes that seller-performance@amazon.com no longer accepts mail, and sending appeals there only wastes time.
When to bring in outside help
Some problems need someone who has seen the same issue many times: repeated wrong answers on a reimbursement, a listing stuck in review for weeks, or a suspension notice you do not understand. PPC Spider's catalog and account health service opens and manages Seller Support cases, tracks them to resolution and handles appeals, alongside ads and inventory. You can see plans on our agency pricing page or start with a free Amazon audit.
