This month's Walmart changes by seller impact
Eight newly approved carriers
Walmart added eight parcel carriers for seller-fulfilled orders, including UniUni, SpeedX, Exelot, SwiftX, TForce Final Mile, Gofo, OSM Worldwide and DoorDash. Walmart warns that using a non-approved carrier can lead to suppression, suspension or termination because tracking cannot be validated.
Ship with Walmart updates
UPS Ground Saver is now available for eligible lightweight domestic packages through Ship with Walmart. Walmart's release notes also describe a USPS noncompliance fee for hazmat packages with missing or incorrect information.

Catalog and policy
Walmart released item spec version 5.0 for the US marketplace and new automotive product types. It is also updating its suspension and termination policy, so check Seller Center if your account has had performance issues.
Why carrier approval matters on Walmart
Walmart scores seller performance partly on valid tracking. If a carrier is not on the approved list, Walmart cannot validate the tracking, which can hurt on-time and valid tracking rates and lead to item suppression or account action. With eight more carriers approved, sellers have more options to cut shipping cost without that risk, but only if the carrier is on the list.
Other updates to know
Walmart's developer updates added fields to the Marketplace Orders APIs and an API traffic report for integration partners. Walmart also announced that approved solution providers can no longer create new Delegated Access keys, with existing keys working until April 30, 2027, and sellers being directed to reconnect apps through the Walmart App Store.
- Check that your integrations still connect
- Plan app reconnections before April 30, 2027
- Ask your software provider about the new API fields
What it means for Q4
Shipping cost and reliability matter more in the holiday rush. Cheaper approved carriers and Ground Saver can protect margin on lightweight items, while valid tracking protects your account. Review both before Black Friday traffic arrives.
A quick Walmart Q4 checklist
Before holiday traffic peaks, run through these checks so shipping and listing issues do not cost you the Buy Box or your account standing.
- Every carrier on the approved list
- Valid tracking uploaded within the required time
- Lightweight items priced on the cheapest approved option
- Hazmat items labelled correctly for USPS
- Top items with complete content to keep listing quality high
- Walmart Connect budgets raised ahead of Black Friday
