- What changed
- TikTok Shop's Brand LIVE Impact module adds LIVE long-term GMV, with a 14-day window
- When
- Reported November 2, 2026, alongside nine October Compass updates
- Who it affects
- US brand merchants tagged A1, A2 or allowlisted, for LIVEs on their own accounts
- What to do
- Bind a Pixel, wait for the Mature Date, then run a holdout before raising LIVE budget
Key takeaways
- LIVE long-term GMV adds 14-day spillover, including brand website orders, to direct and 24-hour indirect sales.
- It counts purchases that followed a LIVE, not purchases the LIVE caused, and it has no holdout or paid split.
- Treat direct plus indirect as your floor, long-term GMV as your ceiling, and run a holdout before moving budget.
What LIVE long-term GMV adds up
- 1Direct
Paid inside the live room
- 2Indirect
Same shop within 24 hours
- 3Onsite spillover
Other TikTok content, 14 days
- 4Offsite spillover
Brand website, 14 days, Pixel needed
What changed
PPC Land reported the feature from a TikTok Shop Academy guide titled Brand LIVE Impact Operation Feature Guide. It lives in Seller Center under Brand Analytics and applies to the United States. Access is limited to A1, A2 and allowlisted brand merchants, and the guide does not define those tiers.
Only streams run from a merchant's own accounts count, grouped as Official and Marketing. Streams hosted by creators on accounts the brand does not operate appear to be out of scope. We could not open the Academy guide ourselves, so the definitions below rest on PPC Land's account of it. Check them against your own Seller Center.
How LIVE long-term GMV is built
The formula is Direct GMV plus Indirect GMV plus Onsite Spillover GMV plus Offsite Spillover GMV. Each part has a different rule, and that is the whole story.
- Direct: payment completed inside the live room.
- Indirect: a purchase in the same shop within 24 hours by a viewer who browsed or added to cart, on last touch attribution.
- Onsite spillover: a later purchase of the brand's products through non-live TikTok content such as product cards, short videos and carousels, within 14 days.
- Offsite spillover: a later purchase on the brand's own website, within 14 days. This needs a Pixel bound to the account.
Shop management, creator affiliates and ads run as one plan, with compliance built in.
The catch most coverage will skip
The guide describes purchases that followed a LIVE interaction, not purchases the LIVE caused. PPC Land found no incrementality test, control group or holdout in it, and no split between organic and paid viewers. A loyal customer who taps a product on Tuesday and reorders on your site the next week would count, though they were buying anyway.
Offsite figures cover your website only, not Amazon or stores. So a viewer who sees your LIVE and buys on Amazon is invisible, which means the metric can also understate reach for a brand that sells mostly on Amazon. It can overstate in one place and understate in another.
Numbers will also disagree across screens. Figures keep updating for 14 days after a stream, and the guide sets a Mature Date of the end date plus 14 days. LIVE Diagnosis uses a 24-hour window, so the same stream can show two sales figures. A Pixel shared across several shops may double count website orders.
So what: the math on one stream
For example, using illustrative numbers: a stream costs $3,000 all in, with $4,000 direct and $1,000 indirect GMV. On the old view that is $5,000, or 1.67 times cost. Add $1,500 of onsite and $2,500 of offsite spillover and long-term GMV reads $9,000, or 3.0 times cost.
Now suppose a holdout shows half of the $4,000 spillover would have happened anyway. The true figure is $7,000, or 2.33 times cost. That still beats the old view, but it is a very different number to bring to a budget meeting. Margin matters too: GMV is sales, not profit, so at a 40% contribution margin $7,000 returns $2,800 against a $3,000 stream, a small loss.
Before you trust the number
- One Pixel per shop
- TTMS and TTBC enabled
- Report at the Mature Date
- Label the window used
- Judge on margin, not GMV
- Run a holdout test
The other Compass updates worth knowing
TikTok Shop's October roundup, also reported November 2, added nine tools for US local sellers. Three matter most for most teams. Ad information now appears in the video list under Channel analytics, though the fields are not specified. Order Analysis in AI Report gives order and SKU level data with seller or creator source, and TikTok says it does not replace settlement statements. Search rankings for shops, products and trending terms sit under Marketing analytics.
The Subscription Dashboard also gained cohort retention and cancellation reasons. See our TikTok Shop analytics guide for the basics of reading these reports.
What sellers should do
Do these before the TikTok Shop Black Friday and Cyber Monday campaign, which runs November 11 to 30 per our campaign guide.
- Shop manager: open Seller Center, Analytics, Brand analytics and confirm whether Brand LIVE Impact appears. If not, ask your account manager about access. Metric: module visible.
- Ecommerce lead: bind one Pixel per shop and enable TTMS and TTBC so offsite spillover and New to Brand fill in. Metric: offsite spillover above zero on the next stream.
- Analyst: report each stream at its Mature Date, not the next morning, and label which window a number uses. Metric: one agreed figure per stream.
- Finance: track direct plus indirect GMV as your floor and long-term GMV as your ceiling, and judge both on contribution margin. Metric: margin dollars per stream cost.
- Growth lead: run a holdout. Skip LIVE in comparable weeks or test regions, then compare website and TikTok orders against LIVE weeks. Metric: incremental orders per stream.
- Amazon lead: if you sell on Amazon too, watch branded search during LIVE weeks, since this metric cannot see it. Metric: branded search volume in Brand Analytics.
When this does not apply
If you are not an A1, A2 or allowlisted brand, you cannot see this module yet. If your LIVEs run mostly through affiliate creators, it does not cover them. Brands with little website traffic will see small offsite figures, so the Pixel work may not pay back. In a small shop with few streams a holdout may be too noisy to read, so use the floor figure instead.
